Nitrogen oxides (NOx) are among the major air pollutants generated by combustion processes in power plants, steel production, chemical plants, cement plants and other industrial facilities. As emission requirements become increasingly stringent, a reliable SCR denitrification system can play an important role in achieving stable NOx emission control.
Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) is a widely applied technology for industrial flue gas denitrification. In an SCR system, ammonia or an ammonia-based reducing agent reacts with NOx over a catalyst, converting nitrogen oxides primarily into nitrogen and water. The process allows high-efficiency NOx reduction when the reactor, catalyst and ammonia injection system are properly designed.
The performance of an industrial SCR system depends on several factors, including flue gas temperature, NOx concentration, gas flow distribution, ammonia injection uniformity, catalyst selection and pressure drop. Therefore, SCR design should be based on actual operating conditions rather than using a standard configuration for every project.
MirShine Environmental Group provides engineering solutions for SCR systems, including new installations, system upgrades and SCR retrofit projects. Our solutions can be designed for different industrial applications and integrated with existing boilers, furnaces and flue gas treatment equipment.
For facilities facing tighter NOx emission limits, upgrading an existing system may provide a practical alternative to complete replacement. A properly engineered SCR retrofit system can improve denitrification performance while making use of existing infrastructure where feasible.
From process design and equipment selection to system integration and commissioning, a complete flue gas denitrification system should focus on both emission performance and long-term operational reliability.
